| Monarchs Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0 | With starter Roger Katz leading the charge, the Marysville Monarchs defeated the Carson City Mustang, 4-1, in Game 2 of the Double A World Series today. The right-hander threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball at Mitts Fieldhouse to help Marysville take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Katz was able to pitch out of a jam. With a runner on 2nd and Carson City trailing 2-1, Katz retired Eizo Imai, who grounded out.
The next game is set to be played Thursday, October 28th, 2038 at Cowboys Stadium in Carson City. Slated to start are Javy Alvarado for the Marysville Monarchs and Dave O'Donohue for the the Carson City Mustang.
