| Cacti Win to Extend Series Lead to 4-0 | The Albuquerque Cacti moved to within one game of the Triple A World Series today, downing the visiting Silver Lake Baristas at Albuquerque Sports Stadium by a score of 4-2. Cacti left-hander Blake Orlando was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The win gives the Cacti a 4-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Triple A League Championship.
Albuquerque took the lead with one out in the bottom of the first when Dustin Adkinson stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-0 in favor of Albuquerque. For the day, Adkinson was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Orlando said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
