| Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Republic, 6-4 | Seattle left fielder Harry May pounded So Cal Republic pitchers at House of the Republic, but it was not enough to keep the Sasquatch from falling, 6-4 in Game 5 of the Divisional Round. May was 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Sasquatch slip to a 3-2 deficit in the best-of-7 series.
Alex Balcarcel aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Balcarcel said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
Game 6 is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd, 2038 at Sick's Stadium. Slated to start are Khurshid Durrani for the So Cal Republic and Shuichi Imai for the the Seattle Sasquatch.
