| Sasquatch Get Close Win Over Earthquakes | Seattle rode a good effort from starter Shuichi Imai to beat the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park. The final score was 4-2. The Sasquatch have an impressive 60-37 record.
Had Kiyoji Matsumoto not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Matsumoto hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Sasquatch.
Imai called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
