| Storm Top Nutcrackers in Extras | The Wichita Storm did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Normal Nutcrackers at The Storm Center. Nobody did more than pitcher Mario Zayas, who captured player of the game honors. Ramon Gomez, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The Storm move to 31-38 with the win, while the Nutcrackers drop to 49-20.
Andy Castaneda, who is tied for 2nd in the TR in triples with 4, chipped in for Wichita with a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
