Seawolves Come Back Late to Top Cardinals

Erie Seawolves starter Yoshio Shimizu pitched a strong game against the Montreal Cardinals at Erie Park, leading the Seawolves to a 6-5 win. Even with the win, the Seawolves have a dismal 21-46 record.

Had Willie Lopez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Lopez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Seawolves.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lopez.
