| Grognards Win at Sedona, 4-3 | Both teams had their chances, but the St. Paul Grognards eventually prevailed at The Lair at Sabercat Field.
The St. Paul Grognards defeated the Sedona Sabercats, 4-3, in TMLR action at The Lair at Sabercat Field, with St. Paul pitcher Danny Ferry named player of the game. Ferry went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 7-4.
Had Jordan Garrett not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Garrett hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Grognards.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ferry told the St. Paul Today.
The Grognards bumped their record to 36-29 with this latest triumph.
