Varmits Win Thriller, 3-2

Yuma Varmits starter Ryan Conroy pitched a strong game against the Wichita Storm at The Range, leading the Varmits to a 3-2 win. Yuma reliever Mark Keitz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Victor Pecina shouldered the loss. Yuma is now 28-39.

Troy Mills had a nice at-bat for the Varmits with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the shortstop drew a walk, which would prove important in the Yuma win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Wichita manager Ramón Rivera.
