| Nutcrackers Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Paradise Island | The Normal Nutcrackers picked up a win at The Nutcracker Suite, knocking off the Paradise Island Pirates, 8-4. Starting pitcher Javier Palos, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Palos, now 8-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Angel Barba, credited with the save, is now 7 for 7 in save opportunities.
Pablo Beltran, who is tied for 4th in the TR in RBI with 39, aided the Normal cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
