Seawolves Win Thriller, 3-2

Erie Seawolves starter John Bryan was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the St. Paul Grognards, 3-2. Erie reliever Jose Garza picked up the win to move to 2-6. Alex Maldonado suffered the loss. Even with the win, the Seawolves have a dismal 19-42 record.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Erie center fielder Juan Mata, facing Alex Maldonado, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Seawolves the 3-2 win.

In postgame comments, Mata said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
