Diaz Lifts Totems to 10-7 Win

Victoria and Paradise Island duked it out at Predator Park and the Totems came out victorious.

Victoria third baseman Miguel Diaz was instrumental in his team's 10-7 win over the Paradise Island Pirates. Diaz, who is tied for 5th in the TR in doubles with 14, went 4-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Totems. Luis Macias got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

Justin Asher could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Paradise Island trailing 10-4, Paradise Island had runners on 1st and 3rd. That's when Asher grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Victoria would go on to win the game.

The Totems bumped their record to 33-25 with this latest triumph.
