| Sabercats Score Late to Upend Totems, 4-3 | The Sedona Sabercats and Victoria Totems played an exciting game at Royal Athletic Park.
With third baseman Juan Lara leading the charge, the Sedona Sabercats defeated the Victoria Totems, 4-3, at Royal Athletic Park. Lara belted 2 home runs. Steve Tomasello converted his 10th save in 10 tries.
Had Steve Carlton Jr. not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Carlton Jr. hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Sabercats.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Sabercats manager Jack Hall. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Today's win puts Sedona at 22-33, while Victoria falls to 32-23.
