| Varmits Turn Back Panana City, 5-4 | Despite a great performance by Panana City shortstop Andrew Withrow, the Yuma Varmits defeated the Bombers by the score of 5-4 at Donald J. Trump Presidential Stadium. Withrow was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Yuma reliever Leon Galaviz got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Miguel Morales was tagged with the loss. The save went to Mark Keitz, his 5th this season.
Bobby Aceituno, who is tied for 9th in the TR in hits with 56, chipped in for Yuma with a solo home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"It feels good to get this one," Aceituno told the Yuma Chronicle.
The 5th-place Varmits now have a win-loss record of 20-29.
