| Nutcrackers Get Road Win, 7-5 | The Normal Nutcrackers topped the Yuma Varmits, 7-5, in TMLR action at The Range. The player of the game was Normal center fielder Antonio Flores. Bill Cortez earned the save for Normal, his 10th of the year. Normal goes to 34-12. The win puts them 8½ games up in their division.
The Nutcrackers got a big at-bat from catcher Fernando Perez. For the game, Perez went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Normal a 6-5 lead.
