Erie rode a good effort from starter Yoshio Shimizu to beat the Yuma Varmits at Erie Park. The final score was 3-1. The win was credited to Roberto Lobos in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ryan Conroy took the loss. Franklin Moreno closed it out for his 1st save.

Rogelio Llamas aided the Erie cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 2-4 with 2 singles.
