| Ugarte Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Las Vegas in Walk-Off Win | Las Vegas starter Felipe Baez pitched effectively against the Hawaii Islanders at Sin City Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Las Vegas reliever Nelson Cardona got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Sae-wan Yi was tagged with the loss. The Islanders drop to 3-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
Las Vegas won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Sae-wan Yi on the mound for Hawaii, right fielder Ricardo Ugarte hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Aces fans to their feet.
"I felt good up there," said Ugarte. "I saw the ball well."
