| Calvan 3-4, Nutcrackers Move to 30-10 | The Normal Nutcrackers stymied the Rosewell Tribbles, 7-2, at Classified Field. Ruben Calvan, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Normal. Javier Palos got the win, improving to 4-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Angel Barba closed the game out for Normal, earning his 5th save.
Calvan had a key at-bat for Normal early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Normal an early 3-0 lead.
Calvan told a Normal Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
