| Black Knights Trip Titanic in Extras | The Brooklyn Black Knights did just enough to secure a 1-0 victory over the Belfast Titanic at Blue Ivy Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Elijah Green, who captured player of the game honors. Brooklyn reliever Kenny Moran was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. C.J. Johnsen took the loss for Belfast. With the win over Belfast, the Black Knights improved to 48-50.
Brooklyn won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and C.J. Johnsen on the mound for Belfast, catcher Neal Thacker hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Black Knights fans to their feet.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Belfast manager Sergio Ortega, "let me know."
