| Tribbles Lose, 5-2, at Erie Park | The Erie Seawolves knocked off the Rosewell Tribbles, 5-2, at Erie Park. Manuel Marquez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Erie won. The first baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 5th-place Tribbles have lost 4 consecutive games.
Marquez came through with some timely hitting for Erie. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Marquez hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. His 15th hit of the season made it 3-2, Erie.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Erie manager Josh Zeh.
