Victoria Totems starter Johnny Chavez turned in an exceptional performance against the Wichita Storm at Royal Athletic Park, resulting in a Victoria win, 5-0. Chavez got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. Chavez allowed no earned runs. Sergio Capellan closed the door for Victoria, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Sergio Capellan didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Wichita trailing 1-0, Capellan retired Adrian Herrera to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Capellan, with a wink.

With the win, Victoria goes to 15-16, while the Storm fall to 15-16.
