The Normal Nutcrackers went home winners at The Nutcracker Suite, thanks in large part to starter Javier Palos. Palos silenced the Sedona Sabercats, enabling Normal to grab the 5-0 win. Palos got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Palos allowed no earned runs. Earning his 4th save for Normal was Angel Barba.

The Nutcrackers got a big at-bat from catcher Bruce Bucco. For the game, Bucco was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Normal a 2-0 lead.
