The Stinging catcher Carlos Tamayo was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Ezra Salisbury, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 6 runs on 6 hits in 5.1 innings. The Larvae bumped their record to 17-11 with this latest triumph.
Tamayo had a key at-bat for The Stinging early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave The Stinging an early 3-0 lead.
