| Totems Score Late to Upend Pirates, 1-0 | The Paradise Island Pirates got a superb performance from pitcher Adrian Bejar. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Victoria. The Totems won the game, 1-0. In spite of the loss, Bejar was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of shutout ball. Gustavo Lopez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Mike Taylor was tagged with the loss. Victoria has now won 4 games in a row.
Miguel Diaz was the walk-off hero for Victoria. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Totems designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Diaz after the game.
