Pirates Come Back Late, Nip Tribbles

Pete Olker left his imprint on the 8-7 Paradise Island win against the Rosewell Tribbles. Olker, who is tied for 2nd in the TR with a .507 on-base percentage, was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Pirates bumped their record to 12-10 with this latest triumph.

The Pirates were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when third baseman Jason Prescott turned a first pitch slider from Juan Carrillo into a 2-run triple. The walk-off triple sent a roar through the crowd and gave Paradise Island a thrilling 8-7 win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Olker told reporters after the game.
