| Pirates Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Rosewell | The Paradise Island Pirates handed the Rosewell Tribbles a loss at Predator Park. The final score was 7-5. Pete Olker was named player of the game for Paradise Island. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. Paradise Island reliever Mark Mommaerts was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Ricky Patron took the loss. The save was Justin Gray's, his 1st.
Olker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Ricky Patron, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Pirates a 7-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Olker.
"It was a solid team effort," said Olker after the game.
The Pirates bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
