Marcial goes 3-for-4 to Power Earthquakes Offense

The San Francisco Earthquakes beat the South Carolina Bombers, 11-5, at Golden Gate Park. The Earthquakes got a fine performance from third baseman Nelson Marcial, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The win was An-te-hai Xin's in relief. His record improves to 10-1. Braden Halladay took the loss for South Carolina. The Earthquakes bumped their record to 47-46 with this latest triumph.

Marcial had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Braden Halladay, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Earthquakes a 5-4 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Marcial.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Marcial said.
