| Pirates Get One-Run Win at Wichita | The Paradise Island Pirates defeated the Wichita Storm, 4-3, in TMLR action at The Storm Center, with Paradise Island pitcher Lucero Hernandez named player of the game. The save was Mike Taylor's, his 4th. The Pirates bumped their record to 10-8 with this latest triumph.
Carlos Figueroa, who is tied for 6th in the TR in triples with 1, helped out the Paradise Island cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Paradise Island manager Armando Ortíz.
