| Beavers Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus So Cal | The Portland Beavers had to overcome a big game from So Cal third baseman Jong-min Kim Jr. to leave House of the Republic with a 7-3 victory. Kim Jr. went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Beavers bumped their record to 59-35 with this latest triumph.
Robert Mentzer, who leads the RCL in total bases with 239, aided the Portland cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Mentzer said.
