| Blazers Lose, 6-4, at Legends Park | Jay Liburdi left his imprint on the 6-4 Maple win against the Bloomington Blazers. Liburdi hit 2 home runs. Maple reliever Minoru Aoki was the winner. His record is now 4-4. The losing pitcher was James Jostle. The Marauders bumped their record to 47-46 with this latest triumph.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from catcher Shoji Hosokawa. For the game, Hosokawa was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Maple a 5-2 lead.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Liburdi. "I just want to win ballgames."
