| Nutcrackers Get Close Win Over Tribbles | The Normal Nutcrackers racked up a win at The Nutcracker Suite, bumping off the Rosewell Tribbles, 1-0. Javier Palos, who started for Normal, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Normal elevates its record to 4-3.
Pete Braithwood was the walk-off hero for Normal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nutcrackers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Braithwood.
