Taurus Handcuffs Islanders, G.o.D. Seize 2-1 Advantage in R1

With starter Toa Fotu Taurus leading the charge, the Tonga G.o.D. defeated the Hawaii Islanders, 3-2, in Game 3 of the Divisional Round today. The right-hander threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball at Isle of Destiny to help Tonga take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Jean-Claude Petit had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the G.o.D.. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and Tonga trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Petit.

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Fred Argueta for Hawaii and Adhipa Vemireddy for Tonga.
