| Cardinals Win at Erie, 4-0 | Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Erie Seawolves were eager to watch Antonio Flores square off against Danny Lee of the visiting Montreal Cardinals. In the end, the Cardinals won the game, 4-0, with Mike Juarez earning player of the game honors.
Juarez had a game-changing triple in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Antonio Flores, he banged a run-scoring triple to center, giving the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Juarez.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Montreal manager Carlos Lora. "Our pregame was pretty good."
