| Avila K's 14 En Route to 9-0 Grognards Win | The 2038 season is off to a poor start for the Sedona Sabercats. The Sabercats fell to the visiting St. Paul Grognards, 9-0, at The Lair at Sabercat Field. Edwin Avila earned the coveted player the game award for St. Paul.
Avila tossed 126 pitches over 8.2 innings to clinch the win for the Grognards. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 14 strikeouts in the game.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Avila.
