| Cyclones Win in Glorious Fashion | Brooklyn starter Willie Laguna had a strong outing against the Caribbean Commies at Vin Scully Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-4 win. Brooklyn reliever Joey Cabler picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-3. Jose Rodriguez was collared with the loss. Brooklyn has now won 3 in a row.
The Cyclones were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Edgar Ortega turned a 1-2 slider from Jose Rodriguez into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Brooklyn a thrilling 5-4 win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ortega said.
