| Commies Lose, 5-2, at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker | The KO had to overcome a fine performance from Caribbean pitcher Jim Alt to grab a 5-2 win at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker. Alt allowed no earned runs over 6.1 innings. Takeya Endo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 5 save opportunities. The KO, at 22-40, sit in 5th place in the RCLR Tony Fernandez Division.
The KO got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Roberto Argueta. For the game, Argueta was 1-1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season gave Long Beach a 3-2 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Argueta told the Long Beach Observer.
