| Cyclones Trip Phesants in Extras | The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Pittodrie Stadium, knocking off the Aberdeen Phesants, 3-2. Starting pitcher Al Hadlock, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winner was Brooklyn reliever Omar Sanchez, now 1-0. The loser was Felix Mercado. The Cyclones bumped their record to 37-27 with this latest triumph.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from left fielder Alfredo Jaimes. For the game, Jaimes was 1 for 5 with a double and a walk. In the top of the 13th, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Brooklyn a 3-2 lead.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Jaimes told the Brooklyn Observer.
