| Cyclones Edge Phesants, 5-4 | Brooklyn beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Willie Laguna, who earned player of the game honors. The Cyclones bumped their record to 36-27 with this latest triumph.
Victor Castaneda, who is tied for 8th in the RR in extra base hits with 21, aided the Brooklyn cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Castaneda told the Brooklyn Observer.
