| Aguilar Hits 2 home runs in Phesants Win | Aberdeen and El Paso duked it out at The Back Draft and the Phesants came out victorious.
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Antonio Aguilar, the Aberdeen Phesants defeated the El Paso Bomberos, 8-5. Aguilar belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Phesants. Moises Casillas converted his 17th save in 20 tries.
Aguilar had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Willie Orosco, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Phesants a 3-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Aguilar.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Aguilar told the Aberdeen Times. "You win just by scoring more runs."
Aberdeen, at 26-35, occupies 5th place in the RCLR John Mayberry Division.
