The Rangers got a big game from Mike Garrett, who was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Rockville reliever Brian Arbogast, now 1-0. The loser was Alfredo Carmona. The Rangers improved to a lofty 43-15.
Garrett had a key at-bat for Rockville early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Rockville an early 2-0 lead.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Garrett told the Rockville Daily News.
