| Diamonds Prevail, 3-2, Over Barbados | The Tunica Diamonds faced a tough opponent in Barbados pitcher Jorge Vega, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Drunken Wench Stadium by a final score of 3-2. Vega went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. With the win, Tunica has a record of 18-38. Barbados falls to 42-14.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with Tunica trailing 2-1, Victor Mercado was at the plate when Tunica scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Diamonds to go in front, 3-2.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Mercado said after the game.
