| Strong Style Walk It Off for 34th Win of Season | Conditions were not ideal but Kyoto and Scottsdale were able to put their game in the books.
The Kyoto Strong Style defeated the Scottsdale Scorpions, 3-1, in RCLR action at Sacred Kinkaku-ji Grounds, with Kyoto pitcher Brian Saltzman named player of the game. Kyoto reliever Brian Saltzman got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Jesse Weller was tagged with the loss.
Kyoto won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With two outs and Jesse Weller on the mound for Scottsdale, second baseman Joe Koehn hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Strong Style fans to their feet.
"It was terrific getting this win," Saltzman said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
The Strong Style bumped their record to 34-24 with this latest triumph.
