Scorpions Lose, 9-2, at Sacred Kinkaku-ji Grounds

The Kyoto Strong Style beat the Scottsdale Scorpions, 9-2, at Sacred Kinkaku-ji Grounds. Kyoto third baseman Gabriel Vega earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Rich Reimer, credited with the win, is now 5-4. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 5.1 innings. Miguel Pastrana converted his 1st save in 1 tries.

Vega had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Strong Style went on to win.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Alfonso Galindo.

The Strong Style bumped their record to 33-24 with this latest triumph.
