Black Knights Stumble, Lose to Stogies

A nice crowd turned out to see the Havana Stogies and Brooklyn Black Knights clash at Blue Ivy Stadium.

Havana catcher Ernie Horswill was instrumental in his team's 13-3 win over the Brooklyn Black Knights. Horswill went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Stogies. Havana improves to 62-29 with the win. They lead their division by 16 games.

Horswill had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Cong Foong, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Stogies a 5-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Horswill.

"We came out aggressive," said Stogies manager Reynaldo Vázquez. "We came out swinging the bats."
