| Scorpions Drop Another One | The Caribbean Commies racked up a win at Castro Field, bumping off the Scottsdale Scorpions, 5-2. Jim Alt, who started for Caribbean, pitched effectively for his team. Scottsdale's current losing streak is now 7 games.
Francisco Varela aided the Caribbean cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
