| Fifita Slugs Strong Style to 5-3 Win | Levenez Fifita made an impact in the 5-3 Kyoto win over Barbados. Fifita, who is tied for 9th in the RR with a .297 batting average, went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Rich Reimer earned the win to go to 4-3. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Brian Saltzman closed it out for his 2nd save.
Fifita had a key at-bat for Kyoto early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Kyoto an early 3-0 lead.
