| Commies Rally to Eke Out Win | Caribbean and Santa Barbara duked it out at Dream Park and the Commies came out victorious.
In a tight contest at Dream Park, the Caribbean Commies edged the Santa Barbara Suenos by the score of 5-4. Caribbean right fielder Carlos Cabanez, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Caribbean reliever Johan Leedham picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Eddie Ramos shouldered the loss.
Cabanez had a game-changing single in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 fastball from Eddie Ramos, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Commies a 5-4 lead. It was the 41st hit of the year for Cabanez.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Caribbean field general Kojuro Ohayashi.
Caribbean has now won 3 straight, while the Suenos have lost 3 in a row.
