| Suenos Lose, 3-2, at Vin Scully Park | Vin Scully Park was the site of a competitive game between the Santa Barbara Suenos and Brooklyn Cyclones.
The Brooklyn Cyclones topped the Santa Barbara Suenos, 3-2, in RCLR action at Vin Scully Park. The player of the game was Brooklyn pitcher Danny Pizarro. Pizarro, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks.
Alexis Enriquez had a big run-scoring single for the Cyclones in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brooklyn leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Gabe Navarro and stroked the single to center. It was his 9th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cyclones ahead, 3-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Santa Barbara skipper Robby Tate, "and it cost us."
The Cyclones bumped their record to 25-21 with this latest triumph.
