| Victory Pushes Cyclones Record to 24-20 | The Brooklyn Cyclones had to overcome a big game from Santa Barbara catcher Brad Edlin to leave Vin Scully Park with a 5-4 victory. Edlin was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Al Hadlock got the win, improving to 2-5. He worked 8 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Earning his 7th save of the year was Joey Cabler.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jim Tingle. For the game, Tingle went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 4-3 lead.
