Strong Style Win at Aberdeen, 1-0

In a tight game between the Kyoto Strong Style and the Aberdeen Phesants, pitcher Pete LaMattina was terrific on the mound. The Kyoto left-hander was named the player of the game in Kyoto's 1-0 win. Jesus Juarez closed the game out for Kyoto, earning his 1st save. The Strong Style bumped their record to 22-18 with this latest triumph.

The Strong Style got a big at-bat from second baseman Joe Koehn. For the game, Koehn went 1 for 4. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 35th hit of the season gave Kyoto a 1-0 lead.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Aberdeen manager Bhim Varuni.
