| Victory Pushes Fighting Iguanas Record to 26-12 | The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas got a strong performance from pitcher Mauricio Ramirez, who stymied the Scottsdale offense en route to a 3-1 win at Scottsdale Stadium. Ramirez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-2. The Fighting Iguanas bumped their record to 26-12 with this latest triumph.
The Fighting Iguanas got a big at-bat from catcher Mike James. For the game, James was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Boca Raton a 2-1 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Scottsdale manager Alfonso Galindo.
